Our Privacy Policies

We value your privacy.  Please review this section if you have questions about our policies.

Veterans Club of Stonebridge, LLC (“Stonebridge Veterans,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website www.stonebridgeveterans.org (the “Site”) for veterans, their families, and supporters located primarily in Texas and throughout the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when visitors use the Site, in alignment with applicable U.S. federal law, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). By accessing or using the Site, visitors agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy; individuals who do not agree should discontinue use of the Site.

The Site may collect the following categories of information when users interact with it:

  • Contact information such as name, email address, postal address, or phone number provided via contact forms, newsletter sign‑ups, event registrations, or donation pages.

  • Transaction‑related information associated with donations or event registrations (for example, payment processor confirmation details), handled through third‑party payment providers.

  • Technical and usage information, which can include IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site, typically collected through cookies or similar technologies.

The Site is not intended to collect sensitive categories of data unless explicitly requested for a specific purpose (for example, to verify veteran status in connection with a program), in which case any such request will be clearly identified and limited to what is reasonably necessary.

Stonebridge Veterans uses collected information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content, including measuring performance and troubleshooting technical issues.

  • Respond to inquiries, provide requested information or services, manage email communications, and administer events or programs.

  • Process donations and provide receipts or acknowledgments in coordination with third‑party payment processors.

  • Support organizational operations such as planning outreach, improving user experience, and ensuring security and fraud prevention.

Personal information is processed only for purposes that are disclosed in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection and that are reasonably necessary for the operation of the Site and Stonebridge Veterans’ mission.

To the extent required by applicable law, Stonebridge Veterans processes personal information under lawful grounds such as consent, legitimate organizational interests (for example, operating a non‑profit veterans’ site), or compliance with legal obligations.

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), Texas consumers may have rights that can include: access to personal data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion of personal data, obtaining a copy of data in a portable format, and the ability to opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising or the sale of personal data, if those activities occur on the Site.

Stonebridge Veterans will make reasonable efforts to honor rights requests in accordance with TDPSA and other applicable law and will not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

The Site may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:

  • Remember user preferences, such as language or display options.
  • Analyze traffic and usage patterns to understand how visitors engage with the Site.
  • Support essential security and functionality features, such as session management.

Where required by applicable law, the Site will provide notice of non‑essential cookies and, where feasible, offer tools to manage or opt out of certain tracking technologies.

Texas law may require recognition of certain “unified opt‑out mechanisms” or browser‑based signals that express a user’s choice to limit targeted advertising or the sale of personal data; where Stonebridge Veterans engages in those activities and recognizes such signals, the Site will apply those preferences to the extent required.

Stonebridge Veterans does not intend to sell visitors’ personal information in the conventional sense of selling personal data in exchange for monetary consideration. If, in the future, the Site engages in activities that qualify as “sale” or “targeted advertising” involving personal data under Texas or other U.S. privacy laws, Stonebridge Veterans will:

  • Update this Privacy Policy to describe such practices.
  • Provide clear methods for users to opt out of the sale or targeted advertising, including honoring applicable universal opt‑out mechanisms as required.

Stonebridge Veterans may share personal information with:

  • Service providers and vendors that perform services on its behalf, such as website hosting, email distribution, analytics, and payment processing, subject to contractual obligations regarding privacy and security.
  • Organizational partners or co‑sponsors solely as needed to administer joint programs or events, where allowed by law and consistent with stated purposes.
  • Government authorities, regulators, or other parties when required to comply with legal obligations, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, or investigate suspected fraud or security issues.

Stonebridge Veterans does not authorize service providers to use personal information for their own unrelated marketing purposes.

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used to help protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, in line with industry practices appropriate to a non‑profit website and the nature of the data processed.

Information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal or accounting requirements, or resolve disputes; retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the context in which it was provided.

The Site is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and Stonebridge Veterans does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

If it becomes known that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, Stonebridge Veterans will take reasonable steps to delete that information from its systems as soon as practicable.

Parents or legal guardians who believe their child has provided personal information through the Site may contact Stonebridge Veterans using the information in the “Contact us” section below to request deletion.

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites or services, including payment processors, social media platforms, or other veteran‑support organizations.

These third‑party sites are governed by their own privacy policies and terms; visitors should review those policies directly, as Stonebridge Veterans is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third‑party sites.

Subject to applicable law, users may have the ability to exercise one or more of the following choices:

  • Opt out of non‑essential email communications by using unsubscribe links or following the instructions provided in the message.

  • Adjust browser or device settings to block or limit cookies and similar technologies, understanding that some features of the Site may not function properly without certain cookies.

  • For Texas residents, submit a request to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to receive a portable copy of certain data, as described by TDPSA.

Requests to exercise rights will be evaluated and responded to in accordance with applicable law, including any need to verify the requester’s identity and, if applicable, to provide a method of appeal if a request is denied.

Users may submit privacy‑related requests, including TDPSA rights requests, by:

  • Sending an email to the designated privacy contact listed on the Site’s “Contact” or “About” page; or
  • Mailing a written request to the postal address indicated on the Site, if provided.

Requests should include sufficient detail to allow Stonebridge Veterans to identify the requester and the nature of the request, and Stonebridge Veterans may request additional information as necessary to verify identity or clarify the request.

Stonebridge Veterans may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements, technologies, or organizational practices.

When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top or bottom of the policy will be revised, and continued use of the Site after any changes become effective will signify acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by law.

Questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or Stonebridge Veterans’ privacy practices can be directed to the privacy contact listed on www.stonebridgeveterans.org, using any email address, phone number, or mailing address indicated there for privacy or general inquiries.

Individuals may also have the right to contact regulatory authorities or consumer protection agencies if they have concerns about how their personal information is handled, consistent with applicable state and federal law.
